This masterclass, conducted by Dr. William A. Martin, is designed for high school students who are considering a career in theatre and are considering college and university musical theatre programs.
Students learn the following:
- What to expect in a musical theatre audition for college
- How to choose audition material
- How to prepare audition material
Students may also present their audition package, work with Dr. Martin and receive feedback. Such packages usually include at least one 16-bar cut of a musical theatre song and a monologue. Students need not have a complete package to participate.
It will also be an opportunity for students to ask questions about our department in general and be connected with faculty within their specific area of interest.
