The real reality beats expectations: For nine summers now, the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Alabama has given select students a taste of the real world in Gulf Shores. The longevity of the program suggests that the good kind of drama has dominated, and people on both sides of the SummerTide Theatre partnership say it’s been a win-win.
