Spring 2023 Production Auditions

WHO MAY AUDITION?

Departmental productions are open to anyone who wishes to audition.

HOW DO I AUDITION?

Please carefully read all of the information below. The procedure for auditioning is as follows:

  • The production audition form is available and will close on Friday, November 11th at 12:00 PM. You may only submit one form – all subsequent submissions will be discarded. Fill out the production audition form here: Spring 2023 Production Audition Form
  • After submitting your application, Stage Management will be in touch with instructions for your audition regarding audition number, time slot, and any other applicable information.
  • Audition material should be no longer than 90 seconds including a slate. This should include one of the following options:
    • 16 bars of a song and a monologue (please bring sheet music for the accompanist)
    • two contrasting monologues
    • a single monologue

Auditions that exceed the 90 second time limit will be stopped at time. Directors have requested:

    • Frontieres Sans Frontieres:A comedic monologue that shows range of expression like what you would see in Commedia.
    • Into The Woods: A monologue and 16-32 bar cut of a song that provide the opportunity to embrace the humor and warmth of the show.

Audition Etiquette

  • Stage Management will contact auditionees with an audition number and time slot. All auditionees should report to Rowand-Johnson 141 to check in. Please arrive 15 minutes before your assigned time.
  • Please bring four (4) printed headshots to the audition. Stage Management will take them at check in.
  • Resumes will not be required at this audition.
  • Walk ups will be accepted, if time allows, on a rolling basis. Anyone wishing to walk up and audition should arrive at 6:00 P.M. and be prepared to audition if Stage Management determines there is an opening in the audition schedule. Walk up auditions are not guaranteed an audition time slot.
