A Visitor’s Guide…

“Screwtape”, 2010

Directions:  The UA Theatre District, which consists of the Marian Gallaway Theatre and the Allen Bales Theatre in Rowand-Johnson Hall and Morgan Auditorium across the street (in Morgan Hall), is located on Stadium Drive near the intersection of Marrs Spring Road, on the west end of The University of Alabama campus.

Need something for your wallet or purse, download our new Parking & Season Card, which contains our current season and a handy guide to parking near our theatres.

Traveling from I-59:  Take Exit 73 onto McFarland Boulevard, and follow this to University Boulevard, following the signs to our campus.  Once on campus, follow University Boulevard past the President’s Mansion (on your left) and Denny Chimes (on your right).  Turn right onto Stadium Drive and follow the road to the intersection of Stadium Drive and Marrs Spring Road.  Access to the ten Hoor Parking Decks will be located on your left.

Map:  Click here for a “zoomable” interactive campus map.  You can also get door-to-door directions using Google Maps.

Parking:  We recognize that parking can be difficult on the University campus.  If you need to come by during daytime business hours (our Box Office is open Monday-Friday, 12Noon-5PM), please stop by Parking Services next to the Ferguson Center and purchase a day pass, or enter the ten Hoor Parking Deck, through its Campus Drive entrance, and pay the $3.00 visitor’s fee as you exit.  This will prevent you from finding a ticket on your car.  Parking is no longer permitted on Stadium Drive or Marr’s Spring Road.

During performance hours, limited parking (including accessible spaces) is still available on the side and rear of Rowand-Johnson Hall.  Patrons may also temporarily pull in front of the theatre to drop off members of their party.  Patrons are encouraged to park in the South ten Hoor Parking Deck (entrance off Stadium Drive) at no charge.
